Is Bible has Contradictions, Yes or No? : Me vs Cenon Bibe Jr

I, I am definitely saying that Bible has corruptions. While Cenon Bibe Jr is pointing “Bible has no contradictions.” This one is a one-on-one discussion just between us two.

NOTE: Initially, I am presenting 15 claims. Cenon must choose any in the presented 15 as the first to be tackled. But I suggest, that it would be better if in the order. He may “clear” it all at once. TY.

  1. 1. Who incited David to count the fighting men of Israel?

    God did (2 Samuel 24: 1)
    Satan did (I Chronicles 2 1:1)

    • LET’S MAKE THIS EASY.

IF YOU BELIEVE that ALL THESE CLAIMS AGAINST THE BIBLE is “TRUE,” then ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE that IF I PROVE ONE OF THEM AS FALSE, then YOU WILL AGREE that ALL OF THEM are FALSE.

IT is either ALL OF THEM are TRUE or ALL OF THEM are FALSE.

WHY ARE YOU AFRAID of ACCEPTING MY CHALLENGE?

Because YOU KNOW that ALL OF YOUR CLAIMS are FALSE.

YOU ARE ONLY GIVING SO MANY CLAIMS in the HOPE that YOU WILL GET AT LEAST ONE RIGHT.

Well, TSAMBA LANG ang INAASAHAN MONG PANALO.

      • Nope. Remember, remember that I have 101 in the list. Just start CLEARING the one where you put your useless comment.

If you are true and not afraid, just start. One by one. Or for a while, since you have “messed” the #1 and #2 of my claims, better choose between the two. Ok?

      • I AM NOT SURPRISED that YOU CANNOT ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE.

YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE HUMILIATED IF YOU DO because ALL YOUR CLAIMS ARE FALSE.

      • This is MY challenge NOT YOURS. Your explanation:

        “LET’S MAKE THIS EASY.

IF YOU BELIEVE that ALL THESE CLAIMS AGAINST THE BIBLE is “TRUE,” then ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE that IF I PROVE ONE OF THEM AS FALSE, then YOU WILL AGREE that ALL OF THEM are FALSE.

YOU ARE ONLY GIVING SO MANY CLAIMS in the HOPE that YOU WILL GET AT LEAST ONE RIGHT.

Well, TSAMBA LANG ang INAASAHAN MONG PANALO.”

STILL DOES NOT “CLEARED” MY CLAIMS AS TO WHO REALLY INCITED DAVID TO COUNT THE FIGHTING MEN ISRAEL. LEAVING MY CLAIM A TRUE AND YOURS A FALSE! THE PARTICULAR CONTRADICTION BETWEEN THE BIBLE IS AS CLEAR AS THE SUN OF THE MIDDAY HOURS WITHOUT THE CLOUDS. 😀

      • YOUR CHALLENGE ONLY COMPLICATES the EASY and SIMPLE.

I ACCEPTED YOUR CHALLENGE and I MADE IT SIMPLE.

IF YOU REALLY BELIEVE that ALL YOUR ACCUSATIONS are TRUE, WHY NOT ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE?

YOU ARE ONLY SHOWING ALL OF US that YOU SERIOUSLY DOUBT YOUR CLAIMS.

      • The question here is: Who incited David to count the fighting men of Israel?

        God did (2 Samuel 24: 1)
        Satan did (I Chronicles 2 1:1)

It has nothing to do with “anything” that is out of context like using Job 1:6-12 as a basis. It has something to do with “WHO” not “WHO ARE”. Meaning, it is ONLY the single “being” owns the single will. An the two passages are clearly do not coincide.

You cannot even “proved” to me how many fighting men were found in Israel,

Eight hundred thousand (2 Samuel 24:9)
One million, one hundred thousand (I Chronicles 21:5)?

The contradiction as to who “really” incited David, is supported by other contradictions! Seems like “your God” is drunk in making this claims on the actual authors.

Again, Bible has contradictions. Very clear.

    • I HAVE PROVEN MANY of THESE ALLEGED CONTRADICTIONS as FALSE. AND THAT IS WHY DEFENDERBEN is AFRAID to ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE.

ALL WHO READ THIS DISCUSSION NOW KNOW that DEFENDERBEN is ONLY HOPING to GET ONE CLAIM RIGHT.

UNFORTUNATELY, ALL OF THEM are WRONG and FALSE.

      SORRY, BEN.

      • You said, “PROVEN” very clearly. But you did NOT support it. Thank you for giving a “COMMENT” in this very post, BUT that “COMMENT” still leaves the “GLARING” fact that your Bible “CLEARLY” give two “DIFFERENT” answers (namely 2 Samuel 24:9 and 1 Chronicles 21:5) on “How many (really are) fighting men in Israel in the counting of David?”.

By your avoidance of answering these/this, I already “PROVED” that your Bible has a contradiction.

I’m a “merciful” person, Cenon. To proved that I am, I’m giving you “ANOTHER” chance to lift up the honor of you, your Church, your religion and your Bible.

        Note: One more chance.

      • I SENSE YOUR FEAR of GETTING HUMILIATED.

I HAVE ALREADY REFUTED YOUR CLAIMS in MY OTHER POSTS and I EVEN SHOWED the ABSURDITY of YOUR “ANTS MIRACLE.” UNFORTUNATELY, YOU DID NOT APPROVE or YOU HAVE REMOVED MY POST.

Now, SINCE YOU ARE SO SCARED to ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE, I WILL TAKE IT UPON MYSELF to PROVE YOU WRONG.

I WILL PROVE that YOUR NUMBER 1 IS NOT CONTRADICTORY and THAT WILL STAND as PROOF that ALL YOUR OTHER CLAIMS are FALSE.

JUST BE SURE to APPROVE ITS POSTING. OKAY? DO NOT ERASE IT.

YOUR QUESTION IN ITEM 1 is, “Who incited David to count the fighting men of Israel?”
        God did (2 Samuel 24: 1)
        Satan did (I Chronicles 2 1:1)

The core issue is whether there is a “contradiction” in both accounts.

        The answer is NONE.

As you can see, 2SAMUEL 24:1 and 1CHRONICLES 21:1 are TWO DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS, written by TWO DIFFERENT AUTHORS, who LOOKED at ONE EVENT from TWO DIFFERENT POINTS of VIEW.

2Samuel was written by as a HISTORY of ISRAEL, thus its treatment was “HISTORICAL.” And since ISRAELITES SAW HISTORY as something RULED BY GOD, THEY ATTRIBUTED the INCITEMENT of DAVID to GOD HIMSELF.

They BELIEVED that NOTHING HAPPENS in the UNIVERSE WITHOUT GOD ALLOWING IT.

1Chronicles was written by a PRIEST or a RELIGIOUS PERSON (Jews believe him to be EZRA the PRIEST), thus HE LOOKED at the event from a RELIGIOUS POINT OF VIEW.

HOW DO THINGS HAPPEN IN HEAVEN, especially when it comes to “inciting” or testing people?

We will see an example in Job 1:6-12, where we read:

One day the heavenly beings came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.

The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”

Satan answered the LORD, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.”

The LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil.”

Then Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing?

Have you not put a fence around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

But stretch out your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.”

The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against him!” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

We clearly see from this incident that it was SATAN who STOOD UP to SEEK the TESTING of JOB. GOD ONLY GAVE HIM the PERMISSION to DO WHAT HE WANTED TO.

This is also CLEAR in 1Chronicles 21:1, where we read, “Satan stood up against Israel, and incited David to count the people of Israel.”

SEE? Like in the case of Job, it was SATAN who STOOD UP AGAINST ISRAEL and SOUGHT that DAVID COUNT the PEOPLE.

That is the RELIGIOUS POINT OF VIEW.

When DAVID did count the Israelites, 2Samuel 24:1 simply acknowledged that GOD ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN.

        So, it was like this:
        1. SATAN STOOD UP AGAINST ISRAEL (1Chronicles 21:1)
        2. GOD ALLOWED SATAN to INCITE ISRAEL. (2Samuel 24:1)

And since GOD was the ONE who ALLOWED the COUNTING to HAPPEN, it was ATTRIBUTED TO HIM, even if it was SATAN who ACTUALLY STOOD UP to INCITE DAVID.

So, BOTH ACCOUNTS of 2SAMUEL 24:1 and 1CHRONICLES 21:1 are CORRECT based on the POINTS OF VIEW that THEY USED.

        THERE IS NO CONTRADICTION.

        HOW ABOUT THAT, BEN?

I HAVE PROVEN that ANOTHER ONE of YOUR CLAIMS are FALSE. Thus, I HAVE PROVEN that ALL OF YOUR CLAIMS are FALSE.

LIES CANNOT PREVAIL OVER THE TRUTH.

        PRAISE GOD!

        X-X-X

The main point here is: Is Bible has Contradictions, Yes or No?

It has nothing to do as who write the any book in the Bible.
It has nothing to do as to do what view the author wrote the book, be it historical, spiritual, etc.
BUT, IT HAS TO DO WITH: ARE THE TWO (OR MORE) PASSAGES (REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IN THE SAME BOOK OR NOT) (AS LONG AS IT IS IN THE BIBLE) ARE AGREEING ON THE “COMMON POINT” THAT THEY ARE STATING?

You USED to defend the #1. Backed it up by Job 1:6-12 as an example of reference. Thank you. But, SADLY, YOU DID NOT CLEARED THE CONTRADICTION.

You cannot say that Samuel is written in historical view, NOR Chronicles in spiritual.

You said: “When DAVID did count the Israelites, 2Samuel 24:1 simply acknowledged that GOD ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN.”

Do not forget that “in that count” (2 Samuel 24:9), the report is 800,000 fighting men in Israel; and “in the same count” (2 Samuel 24:9), which is also reported by (1 Chronicles 21:5), it reported a figure of 1,100,000 fighting men in Israel. [Be reminded that I’m still on #1, not on #2. I just used the #2 as a reference to disprove yours since the #1 and #2 are clearly related in mentioning the same event.] IF GOD ALMIGHTY ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN, THEN GOD ALMIGHTY IS ALSO ALLOWING OR MAKING CONFUSIONS (CONTRADICTING 1 Corinthians 14:33). THE CONFUSION IS: AS TO MANY (REALLY) FIGHTING MEN DID DAVID COUNT (REGARDLESS OF WHO INCITE HIM)?

Do not forget you said this:

“And since GOD was the ONE who ALLOWED the COUNTING to HAPPEN, it was ATTRIBUTED TO HIM, even if it was SATAN who ACTUALLY STOOD UP to INCITE DAVID.”

So, in that HAPPENing, that GOD was the ONE who ALLOWED the COUNTING, GOD ALMIGHTY LEFT THE TWO COUNTS NOT COINCIDING WITH EACH OTHER.

Put in mind that God Almighty do not allow confusion. That is one of the basic of belief for the True God.

Still, it leaves the fact that your Bible has contradiction.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: WE MUST PUT IN MIND WE ARE DISCUSSING/DEBATING IF THE BIBLE HAS CONTRADICTION OR NONE. In the same event, Bible reported 800,000 but in the other passage it says it was 1,100,000. Is the 800,000 = 1,100,000? Answer: NOT EQUAL. Is the event of “counting the fighting men in Israel” a two different event? Answer: NO ALSO. Therefore, CONTRADICTIONS in the Bible remains.

By this simple explanation: I PROVED, BIBLE HAS CONTRADICTION!

      • DEFENDERBEN SAID:
The main point here is: Is Bible has Contradictions, Yes or No?

        CENON BIBE:
As I HAVE ALREADY PROVEN, THE BIBLE HAS NO CONTRADICTIONS.

        DEFENDERBEN SAID:
It has nothing to do as who write the any book in the Bible.
It has nothing to do as to do what view the author wrote the book, be it historical, spiritual, etc.
BUT, IT HAS TO DO WITH: ARE THE TWO (OR MORE) PASSAGES (REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IN THE SAME BOOK OR NOT) (AS LONG AS IT IS IN THE BIBLE) ARE AGREEING ON THE “COMMON POINT” THAT THEY ARE STATING?

        CENON BIBE:
And THERE LIES YOUR PROBLEM: YOU DO NOT KNOW the MOST BASIC THING ABOUT THE BIBLE.

That is why YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE.

        1. The BIBLE is a WRITTEN MEDIUM.
        2. Although IT HAS GOD as ITS ULTIMATE AUTHOR, GOD USED MEN to COMMUNICATE to HUMANKIND. That is why the BIBLE is called GOD’S WORDS written in the WORDS of MEN. (GOD HAD TO TALK TO MEN in WORDS and LANGUAGES that THEY KNOW and UNDERSTAND.)
        3. Although the BIBLE’S MESSAGES have ETERNAL IMPLICATIONS, IT ALSO TALKS SPECIFICALLY to PEOPLE of a PARTICULAR TIME and CONTEXT.

So, THAT SHOWS WHY YOU MISUNDERSTAND the BIBLE and WHY YOU WRONGLY THINK that there are “contradictions” in it.

AS I HAVE SHOWN, SEEING the BIBLE FOR WHAT IT IS, and considering its HUMAN AUTHORS and HISTORICAL CONTEXT, THE BIBLE HAS NO CONTRADICTIONS.

COMPARE that to the CONTRADICTIONS in YOUR BELIEFS. Because WHOEVER WROTE QURAN 19:28 MISUNDERSTOOD WHO MARY and AARON WAS, HE WROTE that MARY was the SISTER of AARON.

Also, WHOEVER WROTE QURAN 20:85 apparently DID NOT KNOW that THERE WAS NOT SAMARITAN during the TIME OF MOSES. That was why HE PUT “AS SAMIRI” OUT OF TIME and OUT OF CONTEXT.

HERE YOU SEE that PUTTING THE BIBLE in CONTEXT REMOVES ANY IDEA of a contradiction.

On the contrary, PUTTING THE QURANIC TEXT or its MEANINGS in CONTEXT BRINGS OUT the CONFLICTING ISSUES.

      • DEFENDERBEN SAID:
You USED to defend the #1. Backed it up by Job 1:6-12 as an example of reference. Thank you. But, SADLY, YOU DID NOT CLEARED THE CONTRADICTION.

        CENON BIBE:
The CONTRADICTION was CLEARLY EXPLAINED. And I KNOW YOU SEE THAT. YOU’RE JUST PRETENDING NOT TO UNDERSTAND.

YOU also CANNOT REFUTE MY EXPLANATION.

COMPARE that to HOW I EFFECTIVELY NEGATE YOUR EXCUSES to the CONTRADICTIONS in the MEANINGS of YOUR QURAN.

        +++

        DEFENDERBEN SAID:
You cannot say that Samuel is written in historical view, NOR Chronicles in spiritual.

        CENON BIBE:
        And WHY NOT?

YOU CANNOT EVEN EXPLAIN YOUR OBJECTION because THERE IS NOT BASIS FOR YOUR OPPOSITION to WHAT I SAID.

        YOU are SIMPLY MAKING EXCUSES.

        +++

        DEFENDERBEN SAID:
You said: “When DAVID did count the Israelites, 2Samuel 24:1 simply acknowledged that GOD ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN.”

THE CONFUSION IS: AS TO MANY (REALLY) FIGHTING MEN DID DAVID COUNT (REGARDLESS OF WHO INCITE HIM)?

        CENON BIBE:
YOUR INABILITY to ARGUE AGAINST MY EXPLANATION has FORCED YOU to DIVERT the ISSUE.

THE ACTUAL COUNT is NOT RELATED to WHO INCITED DAVID to COUNT the PEOPLE OF ISRAEL. THOSE TWO are DIFFERENT.

YOU CANNOT REFUTE that in 2SAMUEL 24:1, the INCITEMENT was ATTRIBUTED TO GOD because NOTHING IN THIS WORLD HAPPENS WITHOUT GOD ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN.

Also, YOU CANNOT REFUTE that in 1CHRONICLES 21:1, IT was SATAN who ACTUALLY STOOD UP to INCITE DAVID. And as 2SAMUEL 24:1 RIGHTLY PUTS IT, HE COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT HAD GOD NOT ALLOWED HIM to DO SO.

        So, THERE IS NO CONTRADICTION.

        .
        .
YOUR INABILITY to DISPUTE THAT LED YOU to JUST QUESTION the NUMBERS of the COUNT in 2SAMUEL 24:9 and 1CHRONICLES 21:5.

Again, SORRY but THERE ARE NO CONTRADICTIONS THERE.

2SAMUEL 24:9 (800,000) REFERRED ONLY to SOLDIERS (ISH CHA-YIL), whereas 1CHRONICLES 21:5 (1,100,000) REFERRED SIMPLY to ALL MEN in ISRAEL who COULD DRAW A SWORD.

NO WONDER, the NUMBER in 2SAMUEL 24:9 is SMALLER. IT ONLY COUNTED the MEMBERS of the ARMY (CHA-YIL), while 1CHRONICLES 21:5 COUNTED ALL MEN IN ISRAEL (even those NOT PART of the ARMY). That explains the BIGGER NUMBER.
        .
        .
So, YOU SEE, BEN, THERE ARE NO CONTRADICTIONS.

YOU SIMPLY FAILED to PROPERLY READ the CONTEXT of the VERSES.

COMPARE that to the GLARING MISTAKE in QURAN 19:28 where MARY WAS DIRECTLY CALLED the “SISTER OF AARON.” A MISTAKE that YOU HAVE FAILED to DENY.
